New album has just been released. It's amazing. It's taken me a while to finally go through all albums which has been sitting on my "to listen" list for a while now.

Mussels from Brussels
Usually I like to keep my entries nice and short filled with lots of imagery. But because I am an idiot and deleted all my photos from Brussels ... I'm just going to go on an endless rant about the city.
The only memories I have of Brussels is that it is like Paris ... but less congested. Everybody speaks French or ... Dutch and it's a lot more sensible or corporate? It is the capital of the EU after all.
They live up to their name with the Belgian sweets. Ever tried Guylian waffles? They're about $18 for two slices, a bit of cream and syrup on the side with strawberries coated with icing sugar. Beligan waffles? Yeah ... they're literally on every corner and cost about €3. A lot more lighter and fluffier and not as heavy like Max Brenner and you can literally eat about 5 of these.
Another thing I recall is their frites (fries). When I first had these in Croatia, Holland ... I really didn't understand the big fuss? Had these in Brussels and my life changed. Not really. I think the Belgians invented these cone shaped take away holders with assorted topping. The classic way is with mayo and their mayo is something like the Japanese mayo. I told myself that I wouldn't have these everyday, but because I was there for two days only alone ... I figured I might as well take the advantage of these frites. They're a lot more crunchy, and not even that oily ... I have no idea, they're just really awesome! And the toppings well the last time I had it I mixed it with curry sauce and onions. Awesome snack.
Mussels from Brussels ... yeah they're pretty freaking amazing. You get a bowl of frites on the side. And I pretty much demolished my mussels and the sauce/soup thing it comes with. They don't taste like the sea. And they're the right size. Not too small or not too big. Perfect. Amazing. Delicious.
Brussels is known for its Art Nouveau buildings. I did a whole lot of walking hunting these down. Whilst finding these buildings I went through a lot of streets that had amazing amazing houses. They were a mixture of the ones in Amsterdam (tall and next to each other) and the ones you see in pictures of San Fransisco (wide).

Grand Palace, some park with amazing houses in the backdrop, an abandoned building space, random Art Nouveau inspired building, frites with tomato-mayo and onions, mussels from Brussels

I wish I was a little bit taller ...
So I've been pretty busy the past week.
As said before, I'm currently working on my portfolio ... and I guess this takes up a bit of time. The whole process and then the whole execution part. If not that, then the editing over and over again. It's actually quite tedious and tiring where you get a little over it.
I've finally got my results back, and with much stress I can say that I am finally graduating! Woop! After a year's delay, taking the time out to travel to Europe for three months, working my ass off to save up for it ... and coming back wanting to go back ... has made me realised that the Year of The Rabbit is going to be all about trying to get my ass back to Europe again.
On top of this, I'm working as a casual at a retail store, without no Manager. Having been there for a while now, and knowing that I kind of need to pay off my Europe debt as well as car repayments ... its making me stay there a little while longer, pretty much running the joint until we find a new Manager. So that alone is quite stressful and tiring!
I did the Surry Hills Markets last Saturday, basically wanting to get rid of all the clothes I've accumulated since I was probably say 21. Having changed styles and more open to good quality staple clothing, the sales weren't too bad ... although it could of been better. Disregarding the almost-50-degree heat with the customer traffic low and the customer base that did not quite fit my clothing posed a little problem.
I also developed a heat rash pretty much all over my body. It's quite gross and from the exhaustion all I've been doing is catching up on sleep and letting my body rest.

A little memory of THE hottest day I can remember in the city of Sydney. Mind you, this is us sitting in the car with air conditioning blowing our minds away.

Peace, free love and letting go.

I've been keeping myself busy working on my portfolio and working the occasional casual job to pay the odd bills. It's making it very hard to blog on a regular basis. I've also picked up the acoustic guitar, a birthday gift from a bunch of my friends. I've been listening to a lot of Jimi Hendrix lately as well ... which obviously is the inspiration of this entry. Enjoy.
