I love Barca.

Barcelona is booming with this design culture. That, or I wasn't totally aware of it or least expected it. Either all, there is just this bohemian culture mixed with artistic value that is really captivating and inspiring. My first day here was a bit scary. The apartment we hired was in between an alleyway and looked like a drug scene you see in COPS. (Men at the end of street smoking and just standing, not very welcoming - but we obviously got used to it as it was part of the culture to just hang around late at night ... lurking.)

As days passed, exploring each district of this Catalan city and eating the amazing bocadillos, paellas, tapas and sangria made me love every single bit it.

I found myself lost in connecting alleyways that would expose all these boutiques of hand crafted designers trying to sell their products from jewellery to leather goods to clothing. It seemed like a massive market place except all the stores were scattered everywhere within the city.

However, if you ever go to Barcelona there will only be one thing you'll familiarize yourself with - Gaudi.

Gaudi has this unique architectural style that I have only seen in Barcelona so far. His style is very organic and twisted that it probably seemed like he was on a trip when designing these iconic buildings, yet at the same time the use of colours and materials used to construct makes these buildings really invigoratingly beautiful. I don't know what it is, but you're left standing there in awe without even realising it.

Sagrada Familia - Still in completion, and I didn't have the right lens. But this building was coming AT you from all angles, shapes and sizes. A must see!!

Park Guell - A Park designed by Gaudi for the rich. Except it didn't really work out. Still amazing.
