Bonjour la France, je t'aime

France.

A very beautiful country which I did not really appreciate until after I left. Shame.

I guess it's on every girls list to visit the country that offers amazing wine, cheese, fashion, culture and cute French boys.

I stayed in two cities - Bordeaux and Paris, both for two days and and although I wasn't in Bordeaux long enough to enjoy the South Western French culture I can say that I am pleased that I did visit the city long enough to have good photographic moments in my head and digitally.

However, the first time we arrived to Paris I can say the area that we stayed in - Montmartre (Jules Joffrin), was a bit of a culture shock. Being welcomed by gypsy kids asking for spare change and living down the road in an area which would be considered intimidating in Australia is a bit scary. Everywhere we went (public transport and all) smelt of urine and I guess first impressions do last. It took me a while to absorb this Parisian culture and I can say the second visit to Paris I knew what to expect.

Second time round visiting Paris proved to be more enjoyable then the first. Another two days, one checking out the French boutiques and a day visiting the Catacombs which is really really AMAZING.

Bordeaux,

Paris,

Catacombs,
